Dreamy Summer Wedding at Primrose Hill Farm
Amidst the rustic beauty of Oxfordshire's countryside, Primrose Hill Farm beckons couples seeking a wedding venue that exudes quintessential English charm. Its blend of historic thoughtfully restored contemporary barns, manicured gardens, and scenic orchards was the backdrop for Anna and Henry’s dreamy summer wedding at Primrose Hill Farm.
The Floral Ensemble: Anna and Henry had a consultation with me after they discovered Hibiscus Floral Design on the recommended supplier list of Primrose Hill Farm.
Together we designed a dreamy summer wedding at Primrose Hill Farm with cool blues, ivories and sage tones. Taking all of the goodness from a bold summer cottage garden and arranged in a relaxed classic flower full styling.
The Flower Bank: classic Roses, Delphinium, Thistle, Oxypetalum, Astilbe, Ammi, Waxflower, Hydrangea, Dahlias, Lisianthus, Stocks, Spray Roses, and oodles of mixed Eucalyptus foliage’s.
Wedding Ceremony at Primrose Hill Farm
Anna and her bridal party got ready on the morning of the wedding in the Orchard Barns. Its a beautiful light and airy space for preparations. We particularly love it because it has lots of space which means when we delivered Anna’s bridal flowers on the morning of, the bouquets were safely stored in the cool ready for when the bridal party leave for the ceremony.
During the planning stage Anna and Henry had chosen for their wedding ceremony at Primrose Hill Farm to be held in the Ceremony Barn. Primrose Hill farm is a wedding venue that we have worked at lots previously so we have great connections with Jo, Jj and the Primrose Hill Farm team so setting up Anna and Henry’s wedding flowers was beautifully smooth on the day. We are highly organised, so most arrangements are transported ready made meaning that the aisle meadows and long and low design could be placed straight into the wedding ceremony room.
Decorating the Entrance to Primrose Hill Farm Wedding Venue
Creating a statement with an over head floral arch
This has to be one of my absolute highlights because decorating the entrance to Primrose Hill Farm wedding venue makes for some gorgeous photos. It gave Anna and Henry a wonderful backdrop with a big bold statement floral design not only for the confetti line but also for group & portrait photos later on in the day.
Anna and Henry chose to invest their wedding flower budget on bold statement designs like the entrance display and moon gate arch. They imprinted their colours and wedding styling on key areas that would make the most joyful memories throughout their wedding day.
“Claire was amazing throughout our whole wedding journey - somehow she created beautiful bouquets, buttonholes, aisle footers, centrepieces, arrangements etc. that perfectly matched our vision even though we knew nothing about flowers and couldn’t articulate what we actually wanted! ”
Wedding Reception at Primrose Hill Farm
The dinning barn was set with a long top table and large square guest tables for Anna and Henry’s wedding reception at Primrose Hill farm. Our bride and groom wanted to make the most of the panoramic views so we created low table flower circlets that surrounded a hurricane vase with pillar candle incorporated. This design allows guests to chat freely over the tables and have brilliant views of the top table and scenic countryside outside.
The ceremony meadows and long and low design were moved to the top table after the ceremony. We also added lots of finishing touches around the spaces with bud vases filled with summer flowers and foliage’s to create continuity throughout the wedding venue.
“Love that Claire has some decorations available to hire as well, we particularly liked our wedding post-box where guests could leave their cards.
I can’t recommend Claire enough, our flowers were truly incredible and Claire was great to work with - before, on the day and even the day after!”
