Hadsham Farm | Spring Pastels | Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Amidst the picturesque farmland of the Cotswolds, Lydia and Geoff celebrated their April wedding at Hadsham Farm, a stunning venue known for its flexibility and charm. With its permanent canvas tipis, decked area overlooking the lake, bell tents, and multi-day hire option, Hadsham Farm allows couples the freedom to personalise every detail of their wedding. Lydia and Geoff chose to hold an outdoor wedding ceremony overlooking the lake and hosted their wedding breakfast in the Tipi wedding venue.

Lydia and Geoff first contacted me in May 2023 after discovering Hibiscus Floral Design through Hadsham Farm’s recommended supplier list. While they didn’t have specific flowers in mind, they knew exactly what they wanted in terms of colour palette and style. We worked together to create a Cotswold cottage garden-inspired look using soft, pretty pastels with pops of colour. Their vision was centred around keeping the ceremony area and the floral hoops inside the tipi as focal points, ensuring that the flowers would create high impact moments for their guests and in their wedding photographs.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Decorations

The colour palette for Lydia and Geoff’s wedding was seasonal Spring pastel with pops of colour. Bridesmaids wore soft blush pink dresses and the groom and groomsmen were in olive green tweed suits. To match this earthy, feminine palette, we selected a stunning array of seasonal flowers, including Ammi, garden roses, foxgloves, larkspur, allium, stocks, spray roses, astrantia, and eucalyptus. These blooms created a whimsical, organic feel, ideal for their spring wedding at Hadsham Farm. The weather was magical during the time we were setting up the outdoor wedding ceremony decorations—frost in the morning gave way to brilliant sunshine by the time the Moon gate was fully installed.

The outdoor wedding ceremony took place on the decked area overlooking the lake at Hadsham Farm. The venue’s Moongate structure served as the perfect blank canvas for creating an impact with flowers.

The Moongate, adorned with an asymmetric floral design that flowed seamlessly into a grounded meadow-style arrangement, stood proudly at the front of the ceremony. This beautiful backdrop framed Lydia and Geoff as they exchanged their vows, with additional meadow-style floral arrangements lining the aisle. To complete the outdoor wedding ceremony decorations, we placed two flower-filled milk churns at the back of the aisle, adding a rustic, countryside charm to the overall setting.

Decorating the Tipi Wedding Venue

The tipi wedding venue reception was the central hub for Lydia and Geoff’s post wedding ceremony festivities. Inside, we adorned the space with handing hoops of impactful sustainable flower designs from the centre of each tipi reception area. The guest tables were styled with less in terms of florals because Lydia and Geoff wanted the flower hoops to be the real wow factor. We were also conscious that banquet style wedding reception tables have limited space on them for dining so placed bud vases filled with delicate blooms along the middle of them which then kept it low and natural to encourage easy dining and conversation between guests. The floral hoops, hung from the tipi’s beams, were a striking statement that tied the theme together perfectly.

After the ceremony, the venue staff moved the meadow footers from the ceremony space to the tipi, ensuring that the flowers continued to enhance the reception area. The couple’s day was filled with personal touches, from the flower-adorned cake by The Cakery Leamington to the delicious catering provided by Kemp & Kemp Food. Guests enjoyed freshly made pizza from Corte Campana and danced the night away to music by Major Minor Covers, creating unforgettable memories in the warmth of the tipi.

Following the festivities, we dismantled the floral arch and hoops, creating hand-tied bouquets for Lydia and Geoff’s friends and family to take home. This sustainable approach ensured that the flowers could be enjoyed long after the wedding day had ended.
