How do i make the most of my wedding flower investment?

Maximizing your flower budget is all about strategic planning. During our initial wedding flower consultation, we guide couples on smart ways to make the most of their floral investments.

Consider repurposing ceremony arrangements, seamlessly transitioning them to adorn the top table or creating picturesque photo areas for your reception. However, it's important to note that venue staff may not always manage these transitions. For instance, moving items from the ceremony to reception spaces might require coordination.

For your peace of mind, we offer an onsite turn around service, priced between £85.00 - £100.00, ensuring a seamless transition of your floral elements from ceremony to reception. This service guarantees meticulous handling, sparing you from the hassle and ensuring every floral detail shines in its new setting.

  • What are your payment terms for 2024/2025 bookings?

To secure your date, a £75 non-refundable booking fee is required, with the final balance due 1 month before the wedding.

You’re welcome to send payments via BACS or i can process payments over the phone (additional transaction charge applies for this service)

Any extra meetings beyond these are available upon request and may incur additional charges. These consultations are designed to ensure every detail aligns with your desires, resulting in bespoke floral arrangements that capture the essence of your celebration.

  • Buttonholes and corsages are cherished floral accents that will add an elegance to your wedding day.

Traditionally, buttonholes, worn by gentlemen, come in two styles: the meadow style, an ensemble of smaller flowers coordinated with the bridal bouquet, and the single bloom, a simpler yet charming option accompanied by foliage.

On the other hand, corsages, designed for ladies, are delicately arranged sprays of flowers and foliage’s. At Hibiscus, we use innovative double magnets to secure corsages, ensuring the preservation of delicate outfit materials without the need for pins.

In our dedicated blog post, we delve deeper into the artistry and significance of these floral accents.

At Hibiscus, our couples often choose to honour close family members and wedding party members with these heartfelt adornments. For a detailed guide and insights into these floral traditions, head over to our blog to discover everything you need to know!

  • What do you do to ensure you are being green for out planet?

Local and Seasonal Flowers: We prioritize the use of locally grown or British seasonal flowers. By choosing blooms rooted in our region, we significantly reduce the carbon footprint linked to transportation and nurture our local economy too.

Responsible Suppliers: Our partnerships extend to suppliers and growers committed to sustainable farming. Embracing practices that minimize pesticide usage and foster biodiversity, we ensure that every stem embodies ethical and environmentally conscious origins.

Waste Reduction and Recycling: From our floral studio to your celebration, waste reduction is a central ethos. We pledge to utilize minimal packaging materials, minimising our environmental footprint. Embracing composting for organic waste and actively encouraging the gifting of wedding day flowers, we also diligently recycle materials, including cardboard flower boxes and send back reusable bio flower boxes to our suppliers.

Sustainable Floristry Practices: With a focus on sustainability, we employ water-saving techniques in floral care and arrangements. Opting for reusable mechanics within our designs and minimizing the use of floral foam, we actively explore and employ environmentally friendly alternatives like Agra wool.

Energy-Efficient Practices: Embracing energy efficiency illuminates our workspace. From adopting energy-efficient lighting to conscientious planning of delivery routes, we strive to cover the least miles possible, reducing our ecological impact.

Fair Trade Practices: Upholding ethical standards, we endorse and practice fair trade throughout our business. Ensuring fair wages and dignified working conditions for all involved in our supply chain forms the core of our commitment.

We educate and advocate for sustainability in floral choices, guiding our clients toward eco-friendly alternatives. Collaborating with fellow florists and industry partners, we actively promote sustainability, sharing and fostering best practices.

At Hibiscus Floral design, every bouquet is a celebration of sustainable craftsmanship, a bloom of conscious choices nurtured for a more vibrant, greener tomorrow.

  • During our consultations we can chat about whether you’d like to repurpose the flowers and how you’d like to do it. They make lovely presents to receive, and I can turn larger designs into a series of smaller bouquets for you after clean down.

Purchasing vases can be a lovely idea so that your table flowers can be given away to friends and family after the wedding (and double up as thank you gifts!). You can always nominate a person on a table on their place setting for example.

You can also look at donating flowers to The Confetti Club (Repurposing pre-loved flowers into biodegradable confetti with all profits to charity), local care homes or hospices, which I can advise you about during our time working together.

Many brides want to preserve their bouquet as a keepsake and there are a number of companies that can do this. We recommend either The Flower Preservation Studio, or Precious Petals and advise you contact them before your wedding so we know how to get your wedding bouquet to them after your special day.
