You can feel the history in this barn’s thick stone walls, and it’s got fairy-tale charm in spades. The huge high ceilings and exposed beams allow for some really impactful floral statements too, which is music to my ears! Planning a Wedding at The Great Barn

  • The New Cart Shed. The aisle is wide enough to have floral meadows placed on the floor which can then be repurposed to many areas of your venue such as along your top table, against the base of your cake barrel or at the base of your table plan. Or 2 statement florals at the start of your aisle either on the floor or raised on plinths work really well in this space.

    Front porch. This area is the first glimpse of your venue so can really set the scene on entering the venue and becomes a great space for large or small group photos. boasting a huge oak beam porch, The entrance lends itself to either a floral arch, or freestanding pieces such as milk churn. We offer both a fresh or luxe faux flower milk churn designs.

    Stone pillars in the bar or Croughton Room. With its stunning exposed brick work the barn has some gorgeous feature beams to add flowers to. Why are these such a good area for flowers? They elevate your florals off the floor so gives your guests more space and adds floral scent to the room.

  • I’d be looking to make this fab budget work hard throughout your wedding day; Two freestanding designs outside at the entrance to The Great Barn, alternating meadows down the aisle and a soft natural long and low arrangement for the registrars table which the team at The great Barn would move into the reception area for you. Bud vases and tealights added to the tables in the bar area then a combination of tall and low floral designs for your guest tables. Lastly a statement feature, something lush and gorgeous over the top of reception room door on the gallery edge so that it makes for a spectacular couples entrance.
