A Spring wedding at Crockwell Farm
This real wedding blog shares with you the gorgeous Anna and George’s colourful Spring wedding at Crockwell Farm. Their wedding flower journey started when they spotted us at the Crockwell Farm November 2021 showcase evening.
Knowing how unique Anna’s dress was that she’s chosen for her Spring wedding at Crockwell Farm filled my floral heart with idea’s and possibilities for creating an incredible bridal bouquet. Anna’s dress was from ‘The air that we Breathe’ collection from Halfpenny London. It had this jaw dropping tiered tulle skirt that was so graceful, romantic and feminine that it was important that the flowers echoed this styling.
Anna’s Spring Bouquet was a gorgeous bundle of spring joyfulness. Including English grown ruffled Ranunculi’s and Tulips, scented Narcissus, apricot Roses, coral pink Lisianthus, incredible Icelandic Poppies, Snapdragons, Solidago, deep tangerine Santini, Eucalyptus, Skimmia and Thlaspi.
“I was blown away by the flowers on the day - everything looked so beautiful, obviously with florals you can give your florist a brief but you never actually know what it will look like till the day and I was a bit anxious but I really had nothing to worry about - she completely understood and even managed to source flowers I’d specifically mentioned that were not the easiest to source for the time of year, which was really appreciated.”
Initial Brief:
Ochre gold, russet oranges, feminine peachy pinks with touches of spring lemons and rich depth. Anna wanted to embrace the best of the seasonally available Spring flowers including any British grown that I could source for them as well.
The little details were also important. We sourced gorgeous raw silk ribbons and added these on the aisle chair ends and the reception hanging hoops to add a pop of colour. The Hoops in the main entrance were also accessorised with faux flowers that linked perfectly to Anna and George’s wedding colours.
“The process of booking was super easy, we booked really far in advance so for our initial consultation we didn’t have much of a clue but Claire provided lots of useful advice about the venue and was clearly very knowledgeable and experienced.
She also handled the decoration of our venue and did an amazing job, again just really understanding what i had in my head even if i hadn’t communicated it fully - even little requests on the morning of the wedding were handled with ease! ”
